8. Brief Financial Status Report:

As of 29 Feb 2012, the chapter’s cash balance was $18,218.  The annual budget for fiscal year 2011-2012 is $2701.  Through the first 8 months of the year, the chapter spent $833 (31%). For the remaining months, financial commitments include a spring event for chapter members and travel for 2 delegates to attend AMWA’s BOD meeting.

9. Summary of Progress since last report

The North Central Chapter recently implemented regional chairs positions to to serve as focal points for our members in Wisconsin and North and South Dakota. North Central member Marie Fleisner has been appointed the Regional Chair for Wisconsin.

Our Executive Committee (EC) convenes monthly. Currently, the EC is engaged in several efforts to enhance communication among members, including the launch of a web calendar that houses chapter events and meetings.

Our membership has been actively networking via monthly discussion groups, coffees, and our LinkedIn group.

Finally, several North Central Chapter members contributed to the fall national conference, hosting two open sessions, a coffee and dessert klatch, and two for-credit workshops.
